Born in Morris County, he resided in Byrn Mahr, PA. N.J. Graduate of the Law School of the University of Pennsylvania. His club memberships included the Union League, the Art Club of Philadelphia, the Metropolitan Club of New York, the Philadelphia Country Club, the Racquet Club, Pine Valley Golf Club, Seaview Golf Club and India House Club.
